The active ingredient in TAN EXPRESS is Dihydroxyacetone 5% (DHA) which has been shown to be safe and well tolerated. Tan lotions were first discovered by the Germans in the late 1920's when DHA was spilled on the skin and a brown color appeared.

DHA gives color to the skin through a "browning reaction." When applied to the skin DHA changes into a sugar which combines with amino acids in the skin to form chemical compounds known as melaninoids which are brown in color. By using the self-tanning lotions and avoiding the sun as much as possible, you will decrease your risk of getting skin cancer.

Bionique's formula consists of a three step process which will maximise the tanning lotion application. Its simple but very effective:

BODY SCRUB 200ML STEP 1: A non sensitive all over body scrub (blue gel) which is designed to remove dead surface cells, improves circulation and encourages a smooth healthy growing skin production.
BODY LOTION 200ML STEP 2: A luxurious body lotion to moisturise and rehydrate the skin prior to self tan application. Softens and prepares the skin after exfoliation.
BODY TANNING LOTION 200ML STEP 3: A remarkable non-streaky and natural tanning effect formula, contains top grade ingredients to produce uncompromising results. Apply evenly all over desired areas after completing step 1 and step 2.

Results will take a few hours and will last several days. Just repeat the procedure if and when needed.
